Key Challenge:

In our work with Douglasville, we set out to 1) Increase the level of trust residents and employees have in their city and 2) make our branding and communications resonate with departmental employees and residents in a meaningful, memorable way.

Project Storyline:

Douglasville, GA understood that their most powerful and important asset was their people.

They knew first impressions count, and every interaction someone has with the city is an opportunity to create a positive experience. The city also understood that pride and care start from within and is manifested in how they present themselves to the world. Their legacy of service and care had been instilled in the people who live and work here for 150 years. It just wasn’t recognized, seen or embraced by city residents and employees.

Because Douglasville, GA is a city of action and results, they encourage and empower their city departments, civic groups and civil servants to make a difference by providing the kind of personalized service that actually matters. People simply had to be reminded of the difference the city’s departments and employees were making by impacting the community and achieving results in many ways. 
We knew the positioning and messaging for Douglasville needed to be authentic, believable and relevant in order to truly resonate. Communicating the accomplishments of individuals working together for the greater good to create positive, ongoing impact was the direction that has rebuilt trust and pride in the city.
