How can Decatur County build a tourism brand around its strongest asset while differentiating itself from other Tennessee River destinations?
Through stakeholder engagement and destination assessment, we identified the Tennessee River as the county's defining tourism asset and the emotional connection that residents and visitors share with river life. The resulting brand, Heart of the Tennessee River, positioned Decatur County as a place where outdoor recreation, local food traditions, and Southern hospitality converge to create a uniquely authentic river experience.
