Chandlerthinks Wins Regional Tourism Marketing Award
The Power of Research Award is designed to recognize organizations that use research to improve a destination.
Chandlerthinks was recognized for its work on a place branding project for the Kentucky Lake Convention and Visitor’s Bureau (KLCVB). Research, led by Chandlerthinks research director Greg Fuson, was instrumental in uncovering opportunities for KLCVB to move their tourism opportunities forward by “claiming” Kentucky Lake, connecting local towns to the lake and creating a tourism corridor from the interstate. It was also used to help Marshall County, Kent., pass a wet/dry referendum.
“The Power of Research is about how destinations use their research to make a difference,” said Gustav Weibull, the director of business intelligence/research at Discover the Palm Beaches. “Chandlerthinks demonstrated now, not just key stakeholders, but the entire community embraced their research. This delivered an outstanding positive impact for tourism in Marshall County.”
